He has no incentive. In other words, he'll fork out a couple of hundred to "repair" an old(er), clapped out boiler, and we have to pay hundreds more to "heat" our permanently cold house.

Speaking also as a recent signer of many petitions - don't hold your breath.
(I'm a cynic now as well!)Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16127623000367674910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13989113.post-80742032890690932622009-10-21T13:52:51.931+01:002009-10-21T13:52:51.931+01:00Peter,

Don't think that it is anything to do with Corgi though.

Given that, well, according to the Energy Savings Trust,
"if everyone in the UK with gas central heating installed a high efficiency condensing boiler, we would save enough energy to heat 3.4 million homes for a whole year and save around 13 million tonnes of Carbon Dioxide. The householder could also save around a third on their heating bills." I think it is well worthy of a supportive signature. Its certainly of more benefit to us all than giving people £2K towards a new motor!

See:- http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/boilerscrappage/

Dave.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18379403055059991769noreply@blogger.com
