Who does is cost to save the planet?

Well, it should come as no surprise as to who is trying to gain financially.

Green travellers face VAT shock

All I could manage was a slight giggle. I think it has gone beyond farce.

  1. Staggering! So now you will have to pay VAT for the privilege of offsetting your CO2 emissions. Can anyone explain just how the Treasury can define paying a carbon offset as a 'service'?

This is nothing more than another in an ever lengthening, and already very long, line of tax grabbing con tricks.

I believe in freedom of speech. But I also don't like bullies on blogs, even verbal ones, as they can drive away those with something valid to say... or offer.

Subjective is fine, but well argued and substantiated is even better. Calm and polite tops. Anything that crosses my personal line will not go up. There may be reasons given, but not guaranteed.

I'm not too keen on 'Anon' as a handle (and the content usually explains why), so if that's what you opt for it may not make it. Sorry.
