‘One person, one permit’ emissions plan

From FT.com, on an EU plan to allocate carbon permits on a per capita basis post Kyoto.

It looks like things are going to get very interesting!

  1. Yay! I can get freebies now on FT.

    Now, to comment:

    Interesting... yes.

It did mention the home of my Bushman, but I still await learning hwo giving all 6 billion of 'us' the right to a long haul and short haul flight... which we can then trade... is going reduce the number of flights rich types will buy off folk who will doubtless use the money so gained to buy windmills and bikes. Not.

However, many conferences in Bali will be had, complemented by many trips to assess, monitor and otherwise schmooze with all the rest whose snouts are in the carbon trade trough.

I believe in freedom of speech. But I also don't like bullies on blogs, even verbal ones, as they can drive away those with something valid to say... or offer.

Subjective is fine, but well argued and substantiated is even better. Calm and polite tops. Anything that crosses my personal line will not go up. There may be reasons given, but not guaranteed.

I'm not too keen on 'Anon' as a handle (and the content usually explains why), so if that's what you opt for it may not make it. Sorry.
