Junkk.com promotes fun, reward-based e-practices, sharing oodles of info in objective, balanced ways. But we do have personal opinions, too! Hence this slightly ‘off of site, top of mind' blog by Junkk Male Peter. Hopefully still more ‘concerned mates’ than 'do this... or else' nannies, with critiques seen as constructive or of a more eyebrow-twitching ‘Oh, really?!' variety. Little that’s green can be viewed only in black and white.

Ready, steady...er...
You put your green glass in. They take the PEP 1 out. You put your compost in. They take the Tetrapak out. And you shake it all about (actually, there's a fine for that). You do the ok-dokey and you tick a box... that's what it's all about!

I believe in freedom of speech. But I also don't like bullies on blogs, even verbal ones, as they can drive away those with something valid to say... or offer.
Subjective is fine, but well argued and substantiated is even better. Calm and polite tops. Anything that crosses my personal line will not go up. There may be reasons given, but not guaranteed.
I'm not too keen on 'Anon' as a handle (and the content usually explains why), so if that's what you opt for it may not make it. Sorry.
Strange that nowhere in the Beeb's article does it mention that this U,U,U turn (I may have missed one or two U's out there as I was getting dizzy) will come about as a result of the new climate change bill as was posted yesterday.
ReplyDeleteSee 'Climate change bill to be stronger?' below.
"It definitely won't be a tax".........
ReplyDeleteNow where I have heard words just like that before?
......."It is more an incentive to encourage people to recycle so it would be cost neutral in that the people who refuse to do any recycling would be paying for the people who do lots."
Sorry if I'm being dumb here, but surely that means that it IS to be a tax on those that don't recycle?
