Recommended maximum alcohol intake

figures issued 20 years ago were numbers that were scientifically ............. plucked entirely out of thin air!

OK, so this is neither eco nor enviro, but it is another example of hogwash 'targets' being set without any scientific basis whatsoever, and then being used to bash the man in the street into changing his habits. See TimesOnline.

Me, I think I'll go along with the World Health Organisation figures, they look much more realistic! Anyone fancy a pint after work?

  1. Just for fun, leap to Oct 31 - even small doses of meat or booze will do you in! Well, for now.

I believe in freedom of speech. But I also don't like bullies on blogs, even verbal ones, as they can drive away those with something valid to say... or offer.

Subjective is fine, but well argued and substantiated is even better. Calm and polite tops. Anything that crosses my personal line will not go up. There may be reasons given, but not guaranteed.

I'm not too keen on 'Anon' as a handle (and the content usually explains why), so if that's what you opt for it may not make it. Sorry.
