Greenhouse gas levels rising faster than predicted

This from the WBCSD reports that "Greenhouse emissions are rising faster than the worst-case IPCC scenarios".

"This paper suggests that there exists evidence that the IPCC process may have led to an underestimation of the risk of greater warming and that the impacts of climate change are occurring more rapidly than previously projected"

The report is from an independent Australian research group, who I've not come across before, but it's made me quite depressed.

Addendum:
A slightly more comprehensive report from News.com.au.

  1. Quite.

Interesting it comes on the day the Aussies are also outed as the worst per capita polluters based on power station emissions.

I believe in freedom of speech. But I also don't like bullies on blogs, even verbal ones, as they can drive away those with something valid to say... or offer.

Subjective is fine, but well argued and substantiated is even better. Calm and polite tops. Anything that crosses my personal line will not go up. There may be reasons given, but not guaranteed.

I'm not too keen on 'Anon' as a handle (and the content usually explains why), so if that's what you opt for it may not make it. Sorry.
