No chance in the UK!

This small article from Autos.Canada.com caught my eye this morning; its a bit of an aaaaahhhh story, about the small Sicilian town of Castelbuono, which has replaced its four garbage collection trucks with donkeys.

Castelbuono's mayor claims using the donkeys saves money and is more environmentally friendly. And who can argue with that?

So could it catch on here in the UK? No chance whatsoever! All our donkeys are already in full-time employment ............. as councilors and politicians!

Eeee-awwww, eeee-awwww, eeee-awwways laughs at his own silly jokes.

  1. My parents once had a villa in Southern Spain once.

And every day the basura man would come around and deliver bottled water from the local spring and take away the garbage in the panniers on his burro.

    Worked a treat.

    No... no chance.

I believe in freedom of speech. But I also don't like bullies on blogs, even verbal ones, as they can drive away those with something valid to say... or offer.

Subjective is fine, but well argued and substantiated is even better. Calm and polite tops. Anything that crosses my personal line will not go up. There may be reasons given, but not guaranteed.

I'm not too keen on 'Anon' as a handle (and the content usually explains why), so if that's what you opt for it may not make it. Sorry.
