QUOTES OF THE DAY - Lack of Experience

Both from Telegraph Letters...

'If Mr Darling did his own tax return he might appreciate what a shambolic system he presides over'

'When the bin tax is introduced will MPs be able to claim it on expenses, too?'

I am pretty sure the more our 'leadership' exempt themselves from the consequences of their actions, especially financially at a personal level, the further the divide between what they impose upon 'us' will be viewed even more dimly as the out of touch actions of a 'them'.

  1. Hmmmmm, another DDAIDDAIS?

It reminds me of the little known fact that the House of Commons bar has a smoking room that is specifically exempted from the smoking ban in the 'all' public bars legislation.

I believe in freedom of speech. But I also don't like bullies on blogs, even verbal ones, as they can drive away those with something valid to say... or offer.

Subjective is fine, but well argued and substantiated is even better. Calm and polite tops. Anything that crosses my personal line will not go up. There may be reasons given, but not guaranteed.

I'm not too keen on 'Anon' as a handle (and the content usually explains why), so if that's what you opt for it may not make it. Sorry.
