But if you have a spare $1ok, you can get it confirmed, probably in a tad more detail here:
The Media’s Key Role in ‘Greenwashing Washout’
I am ashamed to admit (and hence pondering whether to ask) what a LOHAS consumer is (I suspect... it's me. Addendum: Oh, it is), but really this is the key section:
'...consumers express more distrust of the media, underscoring the importance of communicating only the most meaningful, memorable and relevant environmental news to have the best chance of regaining consumer trust.'
Certain media... take note. You know who you are. If you care.
Enviromental Leader - Greenwashers Get Site Of Their Very Own
Junkk.com promotes fun, reward-based e-practices, sharing oodles of info in objective, balanced ways. But we do have personal opinions, too! Hence this slightly ‘off of site, top of mind' blog by Junkk Male Peter. Hopefully still more ‘concerned mates’ than 'do this... or else' nannies, with critiques seen as constructive or of a more eyebrow-twitching ‘Oh, really?!' variety. Little that’s green can be viewed only in black and white.

There's what we get told by government...
There's what we get told by media*.
There's what we get told in blogs*.
And then... there's what we chance upon in follow -up letters pages....
Biofuel production is not justified
Now, maybe they are right. Maybe they are wrong.
But it all rather makes my case that whatever we do get 'told' to 'help' 'us' make decsions, it may not be all we need to know to arrive at the right... or at least best-informed ones.

So much to do, so little time
I just had a small epiphany on media consumption behaviour, at least on a personal basis.
At a time when it seems reading print is going down (see here , though I might ask where the Guardian's readership is and going before getting too excited about The Sun), online and/or a/v seems the way, but then I happened across the Guardian's Environment Weekly.
And you know what? Much as there was much worthy stuff in there, I could not be bothered to click.
Odd, as I'm sure the time commitment would be the same or less. For some reason I like it in print.

Sort of an ee-BOGOF? (Enviro/Electronic)
Now all I need is the £ to match the other one.
Worth a go.
