Don't argue, just DO it!

As an advocate of doing, I am open to a serve here.

Most will have gathered I love cartoons. I was a cartoonist once. And I still doodle.

The ability to get a whole story, with humour (and, better yet, a message) in one to several panels is one I really appreciate.

Hence I liked this one, perhaps more because going beyond I think it sets up an all too prevalent, and worrying situation way endure today.

Namely those in power getting away with a lot that is useless by too many subordinate to, and/or complicit with them, simply not questioning.

While I can, my eyebrow stays cranked.

All becomes clear

From today's latest Dilbert genius.

3,000 words and a few more on Greenwashing

I was an engineer once.

Scott Adams was an engineer.

The ever excellent Dilbert is an engineer.

At the moment this one hit the mark, as I have found that some attempts at asking questions to establish enviROIs are getting met more and more by stupid 'you're just a Daily Mail reader' style comebacks from a way too powerful minority greeleet lobby empowered by media ownership and dogma over science. Just because a PR says it ticks a green box does not mean it is.

As it happens, I would like to know the answer to this one. Dilbert usually has a basis in fact, so is it possible Styrofoam may be 'better' than paper? All my instincts say not.

However, the overall message is, still on the money.

Charge!

I don't post enough images.

And I don't post enough that are cartoons.

And especially enough from the genius that is Dilbert.

Mind you, since he got 'people', his own previously glorious open source system is worthy of lampooning.

I figure forgiveness is easier than permission.

OK, this is no longer funny...

... well, of course it is, really. Hilarious frankly. But I still have this sneaking suspicion that Dilbert is using this blog for ideas.

Rewind, review and really enjoy.

ps: some of my best friends are... will be Directors of Green, I hope:)

The right person for the job

We're on a roll.

Well, it's certainly true that when life serves of lemons, there are those who can have fun whilst making lemonade.

And as a lot of what ails seems to come from 'politics' (though not just in government), I have recently learned a trick or two.

For instance, if you want to get across something, but don't want to be nailed to or by it too closely (just in case), you refer to what another may have said without comment, in passing, like.

Oh look, I wonder what the genius Dilbert might be saying today...

The pen is mighty funny

Dilbert hasn't played green for a while (but has gone colour in the interim...not sure I'm keen), but now he has, he has returned in style.

How does he do it?

Now I know he is reading my blog!
After all the fun and games I have been moaning about these last few days, dealing with funders and VCs and the like, and not being very good at making up 'projections' that are in fact wild guesses, but po-faced stating them as done deals... this is who gets the money.

Enter the Dragon('s Den)

In the next few weeks/months I face the prospect of dealing with potential BAs, VCs and/or direct customers at major companies. Dilbert understands.

Space, the final (af)front...

In light of my oft-cocked eyebrow at some who claim green whilst promoting space tourism, I think Dilbert has provided the necessary cover illustration.

Remember, what you believe need not be what you mean

The ongoing genius of Dilbert.

This could go with almost all my posts, frankly, but mainly those regarding Government, the BBC or Guardian CiF.

Getting the hacks: no problem. But 3 boffins!!!

Looks like we are in for a feast - Dilbert nails it again.

I write this today as I discover that 'small amounts of red meat can cause cancer'. Apparently.

I guess that's what's doing for the Tigers, then. Coincidence? I think not:)

What are these reports worth? And what do they cost?

So long as he* is so spot on, I just have to share

The ongoing genius of *Scott Adams' Dilbert satire (Green poke era)

And, sometimes, opportunities just get presented: NHS urged to cut carbon emissions

So the next time you go in for a one thing...

He IS reading my blog...

... and then making a brilliant satirical cartoon out of it: Dilbert.

OK, so it's just coincidence.

Memo to all Pols, activists and holier-than thou media: try leading by example before climbing in the driving seat. Your lack of deeds vs. the words is starting to grate.

Scott and Peter and Ted and Malice

The ongoing, spooky (at least as it seems to mirror my life) genius that is Dilbert.

Time 2 Chill

As words fails me at this guy's comedic/satiric genius, I won't say anything more:

You gotta larf#2 - At least this is funny

I am indebted to Dave at Solarventi for sending me a genuine funny item (to credit the author, he is Matt from the Telegraph) in an otherwise humour-bereft day.

Much as I love my kids, because our school's staff can't cope with the snow they are now at home. I am lucky enough to be here. How many have lost a day's pay or had to pay for childminders whilst others enjoy a day off on our taxes?

Back to the funny, it does raise one issue. If you look below I file all such things under 'CLIM' for climate change. Global Warming doesn't quite sit with this image, really.

And yes, I know there are complex meteorological explanations.
