Meanwhile, the next salvo sails over...

It was only a matter of time, but I must confess to surprise how quickly the first past the post-IPCC counter theory pops out: Cosmic rays blamed for global warming

What's a boy to think? Other than noting we are looking at a ratio of around 100 to 1 on boffins pro/con, I leave this latest to you.

Times - ‘Blame cosmic rays not CO2 for warming up the planet’

Great - yet another scientifically based contra argument to inflame the debate! Given the suggested link between cosmic rays and the magnetic state of the sun, I guess we'll see the older argument (which I never quite understood) about changes in the sun's magnetic field being the direct cause of global warming returning to the fold too.

Oh well, I guess that given the incredibly complex number of factors, both real and potential, that are or may be involved in GW, throwing in a few more can't make too much of a difference.
